Backyard Elopement | Bellevue, WA

July 5th

Ahh, 2020. I feel like it’s hard to even start these blogs, because I just want to give SO much credit to our couples that have planned, postponed, and planned again to host events this year within the restrictions. Ilene + Rand originally had planned their entire 200 person wedding at Columbia Winery all while living in LA. When Kevin and I had a vacation planned in Palm Springs last year, we met up with them in Joshua tree for their engagement session and had the BEST time!!

When things weren’t looking positive for a big event, they changed their plans and the date a few times to try and make it work for everyone involved, and to not have people traveling into town for safety reasons. Ilene + Rand ended up having an intimate wedding in Rand’s parent’s backyard- which was BEAUTIFUL- with only their families. They had a champagne toast and a first dance, and then we wandered around town for some portraits in the cutest vintage car! The last stop was at Ilene’s parents house, where just her immediate family had decorations set up in the backyard with dinner, drinks, and dancing in the backyard. It was the sweetest day ever, and we feel really grateful to be invited into such small events and capture the love + joy from the day.

Breanna and Kevin are seriously so talented and knowledgeable. They are such a caring duo and were so flexible with us during the 2020 wedding season when we had to schedule and reschedule our wedding a couple of times. They create such a warm and easy going atmosphere – if you’re nervous about having your photo taken, don’t be! They will make you feel so comfortable in front of the camera. They go above and beyond, always answering texts and calls quickly, sending a preview of 20+ photos the day after the wedding, and even lent us their speaker when we realized we didn’t have one for our family backyard reception. Our engagement photos and wedding photos are so beautiful! We can’t stop looking at them and reminiscing about our special day.
