This engagement session was an adventure to remember!!! Our plan was to head to ebey’s landing for sunset photos, so we met up with Kayla and Sam so we could make it on the same ferry. We were running just a couple minutes late (our dog Steve’s fault), and the line was a little longer for the ferry than we would have imagined on a weekday, so we missed the first ferry! No big deal we thought, we have plenty of time! We took a few photos around the beach while we waited, and then got a few on the ferry on the way over. Once we got to Whidbey, our plan was to pick up some pizzas, and head across the island to the landing. For some reason, pizza took waaay longer than we all anticipated, so we found ourselves rushing to not miss all of the sunshine after such a long trip over! We basically ran with all of the food, drinks, and outfit changes down the side of the bluff and thankfully made it in time! We had such a blast hearing about their relationship, plans for the wedding, and it is so clear how much they adore each other. They both have family members that live over on the island, and that’s where they are getting married this fall so it’s a really special place for them. Not only did we have an AMAZING sunset, but the moon came up over the bluff and we were able to capture that as well! Longer shoots like this always leave us feeling so fulfilled and thankful for God’s beauty, for the beautiful state we live in, and for the sweet people we get to spend our time with. We can’t wait for the wedding!
