Esther + Eduardo are so full of compassion, love, and joy for each other and those around them! We feel so lucky to have met them and captured their day. We hope this gives some inspiration for backyard weddings and how special they can be.

They originally planned for a big wedding last summer, but scaled it down to 25 people in Eduardo’s (and now their) backyard!! Eduardo loves gardening, and we were blown away at how beautiful their home and backyard was! There were dahlia’s EVERYWHERE, and a grape vine covering the whole pergola where we had the first look. They included elements of both of their cultures into their backyard wedding, with Filipino + Korean food (made by the families) and an outfit change into a Korean hanbok and Filipino barong.

Other than the bridal bouquet, which was made by Anthera Florals, Eduardo made all of the floral arrangements! Their families and friends toasted the newlyweds, and they even had a friend who couldn’t fly in for the wedding give her speech over zoom. During the reception, Esther + Eduardo sang My Lover by Birdtalker as their pastor played guitar under the café lights in their backyard. Their family is full of talent, and her brother played the piano and performed Blessed by Daniel Caesar, and we felt like we were at an intimate concert. Her friends surprised them with a piñata, to help release some of the stress of re-planning and hosting their wedding, which was so thoughtful of them and entertaining for the rest of us! It was truly a labor of love from everyone involved, and we feel beyond blessed to know these two incredible people!
