We got connected with Kamryn + Whitney through our friend Katie, the owner of Blooms & Twine Floral Design out of Portland, OR. We’ve had the pleasure of working with her a few times now, the first time at Bridget + Nolan’s wedding, and then she asked us to capture her parents 35-year vow renewal earlier this year! She recommended us to these amazing ladies, and we are so happy we got to be a part of this incredible day!
Kamryn + Whitney rented the coolest Airbnb on the island, with the most eclectic décor in every nook and cranny. Not to mention, the stunning location for a first look!!! They had their hair and makeup done by the incredibly talented Lorena Soto while we took detail photos around the house. They were both SO giddy to see each other during the first look, and that infectious energy continued for the rest of the day! It’s so clear that these two adore each other more than we can even find the words for, and they welcomed us and the other vendors in like we were family!
It wouldn’t be an island elopement without a custom driftwood installation by Katie! We helped gather driftwood, and she made it even more beautiful by adding flowers throughout. With Mount Rainier showing off in the background, Kamryn + Whitney shared the most thoughtful vows with each other, and their families got to witness the whole thing via zoom. After the ceremony, we wandered around the beach, tripped over driftwood, and captured some beautiful photos!
Before we went back home, we stopped by the Airbnb to photograph the champagne toasts and cake cutting which also included their families virtually. It was a beautiful little celebration and we are thankful for these new friends of ours!
Breanna and Kevin volunteered to shoot our elopement as part of a “Love is not Cancelled” package with our florist Blooms&Twine Florals and wow – we sure did stumble into the best pair of photographers we could have EVER asked for! Breanna and Kevin captured our day perfectly – my wife and I changed plans to elope because of COVID and Breanna and Kevin helped capture a huge variety of shots for us, they made us feel special and loved, and Kevin was even one of our witnesses! (Thanks Kevin, we love you) They are so kind and fun to work with – they also sent us sneak peek photos the same night! We’ve already booked a mini photoshoot session with Breanna and Kevin for headshots and definitely plan to book them whenever we need a good photographer!
